Thomas J. Ow, MD, MS, Receives Prestigious Edmund Prince Fowler Thesis Award from The Triological Society

Thomas J. Ow, MD, MS, Clinical Education Coordinator of the Cancer Committee, Montefiore Einstein Cancer Center, and Associate Professor, Otorhinolaryngology and Pathology, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, received the prestigious Edmund Prince Fowler Thesis Award from The Triological Society in February. He was honored for his significant contribution to the field of otorhinolaryngology and head and neck cancers with his thesis, “Capturing the Diversity of Head and Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma Using Conditional Reprogramming Cell Culture Methods.”

The prize is given to an investigator whose basic research serves to further the study, teaching, and practice of otolaryngology—a medical specialty focused on the ears, nose and throat.

In addition to receiving this award, Dr. Ow also was accepted as an Active Fellow of The Triological Society, an honor given only to applicants who have extensive experience in the field of otolaryngology and whose thesis has been accepted by a panel of peers. He will be inducted during the organization’s annual ceremony in Boston on Thursday, May 4.
