Advanced Imaging Program Featuring Cardiac CT and MRI/PET Opens at White Plains Hospital

Led by Leandro Slipczuk, MD, the new facility features the latest state-of-the-art imaging technologies for cardiac care.

The advanced cardiovascular imaging team led by Dr. Leandro Slipczuk, has recently opened a state-of-the-art cardiovascular imaging center at White Plains Hospital. The center includes a 512-slice computed tomography scanner able to do heart imaging in a single heartbeat. Unique to the region, the center also boasts an MRI/PET combined scanner, allowing for comprehensive scans that can detect inflammation and myocardial viability detection and myocardial characterization imaging in one scan. In addition, a digital PET/CT scanner offers stress testing for high-risk patients with the ability to perform coronary flow quantification.
