Andrew D. Racine, MD, PhD, Named 2025 President-Elect, Will Serve as 2026 President of the American Academy of Pediatrics
Congratulations to Andrew D. Racine, MD, PhD, System Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, Montefiore Einstein, Executive Director, Montefiore Medical Group, and Professor, Pediatrics, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, on his election by his peers as the 2025 President-elect of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). He will serve as its 2026 President.
As President, Dr. Racine will head up the Executive Committee for the AAP’s Board of Directors, managing the academy’s daily business and working to further its mission of optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents and young adults. Among Dr. Racine’s goals are addressing issues that impact children’s health including education, nutrition, access to clean air and water and mental health.
“To be afforded the chance to advance the mission of the AAP in concert with its CEO/Executive Vice President Mark Del Monte, the AAP staff and the Board of Directors is an unparalleled honor,” Dr. Racine said. “The children of this country and the professionals who care for them have always been and will always be our chief priority.
