On April 24, 2024, Rachel Offenbacher, MD, was awarded a Hyundai Hope on Wheels Young Investigator Award.  Her proposal, entitled “Targeting Urea Cycle Dysfunction to Prevent and Treat Metastatic Osteosarcoma” (8/1/24-7/31/26; total costs $250,000) will further her investigations in the role of a newly FDA-approved drug, Difluoromethylornithine (DFMO), to prevent and treat osteosarcoma metastasis.
