In 2023, the Adam Gaynes Pediatric Neuro-oncology Program at CHAM stood out for its comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to treating brain tumors, the second most common type of cancer in children and adolescents. By integrating cutting-edge technology with a team of highly skilled multidisciplinary specialists, the program is committed to easing the lives of patients and their families. This program synergizes the expertise from CHAM's nationally ranked Pediatric Cancer, Neurology and Neurosurgery programs, ensuring a comprehensive treatment approach.

This program's unique, team-based strategy involves collaborating with various surgical specialties to tackle the complexity of nervous system tumors in children. Pediatric neurosurgeons at CHAM work alongside experts in Head and Neck, Spine, Chest, Abdominal and Plastic Surgery, addressing cases often deemed inoperable by other institutions. This collaborative approach, coupled with the program's commitment to pushing the boundaries of pediatric neurosurgery, has positioned CHAM as a leader in confronting and overcoming the challenges posed by cancers invading the nervous systems of children.
