This study with researchers at City College of New York will add to our existing experience and knowledge, to advance the technique to patients worldwide.
Dr. Rui Yang, having reimagined surgical management of metastatic disease to the pelvis, has collaborated with researchers at City College of New York to create a sophisticated biomechanical model to better understand and characterize the “tripod technique.” This technique, which uses a minimally invasive approach to fix pathologic fractures of the pelvis, results in less risk, pain, bleeding and cost, and vastly improves pain and function.
