Shoulder Service partners with PrecisionOS for virtual reality training program

Montefiore’s embracing of VR as the future of surgical training helps us remain at the forefront of shoulder and education.

In conjunction with the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), Montefiore's Shoulder Service partnered with PrecisionOS to provide a virtual reality training program for the current ASES fellowship.  Although we recognize that VR is still in its infancy, we, as educators, are partnering to help advance this important technology for shoulder and elbow, thus helping us remain at the forefront of shoulder and elbow education. Collaboration began with Dr. Martin Levy of the Sports Service not only for educational and surgical resident/fellow training, but also to explore the research potential of this innovative technology.
