Anesthesiology DEI Officer Dr. Tracey Straker serves as a member of the Montefiore DEI Council, where she works with interdepartmental colleagues throughout Montefiore Medical Center to make the institution more equitable for associates and patients. Dr. Straker, as well as Attending Anesthesiologist Dr. Alexandra Bastien, also serve on the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Council for Diversity and Inclusion in Science and Medicine. As Council members, Drs. Straker and Bastien work together with the Einstein Office of Diversity & Inclusion and colleagues from across AECOM departments to share best practices on diversity and inclusion and communicate these initiatives across the Montefiore Einstein community. Additionally, Dr. Straker and Dr. Terry-Ann Chambers, Attending Pediatric Anesthesiologist and Anesthesiology Quality Assurance Director, have been appointed to the Committee of Einstein Diversity Champions.
