Each year, the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences holds its Annual Paul Henkind Day event at Wave Hill. Henkind Day, is a one-day symposium that focuses on current research and clinical advances in common ophthalmic conditions. Format and presentations are designed to engage the audience and speakers in open dialogue. This symposium is intended for eye care professionals, physicians and students interested in recent advances in the diagnosis and management of ocular disorders.

The Department thanks recent Guest Speakers and Annual George N. Wise Memorial Lecturers, including Emily Y. Chew, MD, Director, Division of Epidemiology and Clinical Applications, Deputy Clinical Director at the National Eye Institute (NEI), Bethesda, MD.
