Montefiore Einstein Faculty Honored for Their Contributions to Teaching the Next Generation of Leaders in Otorhinolaryngology

Three otorhinolaryngology faculty were recently inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Davidoff Society, recognizing their excellence in education, mentorship, research and patient care and their dedication to training future ear, nose and throat (ENT) leaders.

In 2024, Vikas Mehta, MD, MPH, Vice Chair and Associate Professor of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and Director of Head & Neck Surgery at the Moses Division, and Christina J. Yang, MD, Associate Professor of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and Pediatrics and Director of the Aerodigestive Program at Montefiore Einstein, were inducted into the Einstein Chapter of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society as faculty members. They were chosen by Einstein’s AOA student inductees based on their performance as exemplary physicians and teachers. Election to AOA, the national medical honor society, is a life long honor, signifying a lasting commitment to professionalism, leadership, scholarship, research and community service. 

Elizabeth Dinces, MD, MS, Director of the Otology and Neurotology Division and Associate Professor of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, was selected as a member of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine Leo M. Davidoff Society. Membership in the Davidoff Society recognizes faculty who demonstrate excellence in teaching and a distinguished, caring and committed approach to educating medical students at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. 

These prestigious honors underscore our commitment to innovation and excellence in medical education, research and clinical care, further shaping the future of otorhinolaryngology.
