This year we have continued our advancements in clinical practice, education, and research. We have expanded our depth and expertise in all aspects of otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery. We continue to deliver the most advanced and comprehensive care to all our patients, and increased our presence at outside practice sites to make access to our services even easier.

Montefiore Einstein recently performed its first pediatric hypoglossal nerve implant procedure for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

Broadening Horizons in Facial Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery

The Facial Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery Program within Montefiore Einstein Otorhinolaryngology Department has undergone significant expansion, with the addition of two fellowship-trained facial plastic surgeons. This growth extends the Bronx-based practice into Manhattan and Westchester, broadening its reach and services.

Montefiore Einstein Otorhinolaryngology Goes Global: 2023 Mission to Bolivia

In October 2023, Montefiore Einstein Otorhinolaryngology Department joined forces with Operation International, led by Mona Gangar, MD, Co-Director of Team Manhattan, alongside MDs Dilip Madnani and Vikas Mehta, for a mission trip in Tarija, Bolivia, spanning from October 15 to 21.

Surgical Interventions for Sleep Apnea

The Montefiore Einstein Otorhinolaryngology Department, integral to a specialized sleep disorders team, performs comprehensive evaluations of all sleep-related issues. Our division offers a wide range of surgical procedures, including the Inspire Upper Airway Stimulation (UAS) implant, among various other options.
