Howard Moskowitz, MD, PhD, Awarded Pilot Grant to Study Hearing Problems in Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Dr. Howard Moskowitz received a $60 thousand grant from Autism Speaks to study central auditory processing disorder in children with autism. This research could lead to new diagnostics and interventions, improving communication and quality of life.

Inspiring Mural Celebrating the Bronx Unveiled at Montefiore Einstein Otorhinolaryngology –Head and Neck Surgery Offices at the Hutchinson Campus

As a collaboration between the Studio in a School NYC and Montefiore Einstein Fine Art Program, this Bronx-inspired digital collage created by fifth graders from P.S. 72X highlights community pride and community engagement through visual arts.

Cancer Treatment Delays Underscore the Independent Risk of Mortality Among Racially Diverse and Socioeconomically Disadvantaged Urban Populations

Montefiore Einstein-led research indicates that for breast cancer, colorectal cancer (CRC), head and neck cancer (HNC), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and pancreatic cancer, each incremental delay in treatment initiation time (TTI) significantly heightens the independent risk of mortality specific to the disease. Such delays are a major factor in the perpetuation of healthcare disparities.
