Global Experts Set Consensus on Pediatric Tracheostomy Care Standards
Dr. Yang utilized a modified Delphi consensus method to survey global experts in pediatric airway management and simulation to identify key items for inclusion in a pediatric tracheostomy emergency readiness (PedsTrachReady) tool which incorporates tracheostomy-specific, team, and systems components. Her team is now in the process of developing construct validity evidence for this tool through multi-institutional, multi-disciplinary in situ simulation of tracheostomy emergencies.
