Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Skull/Cranial Base Surgery Center Continues to Lead with Advanced, Multidisciplinary Care
In 2022, the Montefiore Einstein Comprehensive Skull/Cranial Base Surgery Center continued to push the envelope, creating innovative approaches to complex skull base pathology. We are committed to advancing minimally invasive approaches via all endoscopic and open corridors, including TONES, and to delivering individualized multidisciplinary care to patients from the Bronx and elsewhere.
Our skull base team is led by Vijay Agarwal, MD, from Neurosurgery and Patrick Colley, MD, from Otorhinolaryngology. Along with Christina Fang, MD; Howard Moskowitz, MD and Nadeem Akbar, MD, the Center continues its mission of world-class treatment with the latest in advanced endoscopic and open skull base resections and reconstructions. This past year, Dr. Agarwal and Dr. Colley took the lessons learned at Montefiore Einstein and taught a national and international audience those novel surgical techniques in skull base surgery at a national cadaveric dissection course.
Teaching the next generation of skull base surgeons along with pursuing impactful research allows us to stay at the front of the pack when it comes to caring for our patients.
