2024 Highlights
Montefiore Einstein Urology
Raising the Bar in Research
and Patient Care
At Montefiore Einstein Urology, our continuous expansion and enhancement of urological services have marked another year of significant advancement.
We've launched a new program aimed at improving the lives of individuals with bladder control issues, which includes the comfort-focused option of sedated urodynamics testing. In pediatric urology, we have expanded our programs in robotic and complex reconstructive surgery and are soon to introduce pelvic floor rehabilitation. Our approach to prostate cancer care has evolved with the integration of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, including transperineal ultrasound-guided biopsies and a focal ablation program utilizing High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) and cryotherapy. These methods are designed to target cancer more precisely while reducing side effects. Complementing our clinical progress, the Montefiore Einstein Urology Research Laboratories have had a remarkable year, securing substantial NIH grant support— a testament to our unwavering commitment to advancing urological health through breakthrough research.
