Pediatric Urology at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore

Our Pediatric Urology program specializes in the multidisciplinary care, counseling and treatment of patients and their families experiencing or expecting a child with a variety of urological disorders or concerns, from the prenatal stage through birth and beyond.

Our pediatric urologists are a part of the Children's Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM), which is nationally ranked by U.S. News & World Report. For many patients, care begins before birth with prenatal diagnosis and counseling for parents expecting a child with prenatal hydronephrosis (“water in the kidney”). These families have an opportunity to ask questions and understand the postnatal plan through our prenatal program led by Dr. Amanda North, in conjunction with the maternal-fetal medicine team.

For children born with intersex disorders, a multidisciplinary approach is required. Working with endocrinologists, geneticists and mental health experts in the TIGER (Total Integrative Genitourinary Endocrinology and Reproductive) clinic, our team helps parents navigate the complex issues surrounding these patients.

Our team includes an experienced nurse practitioner and registered nurse who support our physicians and provide patients with surgical education and ongoing support.
